Yew live-edge coffee table
One slab of yew, with the live edge carved by hand to keep the shape of the tree. A thin coat of clear resin brings out the orange of the yew, and I sanded it down to a soft sheen so it still looks like wood.

Living with it
Glass cleaner is best on the top, but any regular surface cleaner works fine.
The resin stands up to scratches and heat in everyday use. I'd still use coasters for hot drinks and keep the table off an active radiator, as long spells of heat can soften it slightly.
