End-grain oak chopping board
A thick end-grain block of European oak, with a stronger colour and grain than most oak boards. The tight grain makes it dense and more resistant to knife marks.

Living with it
Rinse it, wipe it with a sponge, dry off the water, then let it air dry standing on its feet. Don't leave it soaking or in direct sun: wood is still alive and can warp.
If it starts to look dull, rub in a little of any food-safe oil you have (olive, sunflower) with a lint-free cloth. Sticky means too much oil. Wipe the extra off with kitchen towel.
End grain needs a bit more care, as it's more prone to bending. Dry it off properly, and store it flat on its feet or standing upright, not leaning at an angle.
